Not sure if we are doing anything for this day, but I was thinking something like celebrating our social enterprises (floating the platform idea here) in Oldham in some fun way, celebrating what we do (as a quick marketing piece), or running some sort of event at the Hive. I reckon we would need some additional permissions to run something at the Hive but reckon that could be quite fun!
Yes, I thought I mentioned it.
1 - 4 outside the hive they are having a display of social enterprises so we can go and have a stand.
Will get us in front of lots of council bods
Good Willow
Ah yessssss - I now remember. You did mention this! Thank you Willow!
If you let me know how much the stand costs I can apply for the £300 (will top up the budget with refreshments / promotional materials)
Just saw this on GMCVO website: Let us know about your Social Enterprise Day event | www.gmcvo.org.uk
I know we are going to be at the Hive so perhaps we don’t have capacity to run an event, but just wanted to float this in case it was worth getting our name out into the ecosystem!
I wonder if we can argue our stand is an event…
Ooooo - clever. What do you think about any of the following for running at the stand:
-Sharing our 30-day resources from Digitober as a laminated card for social enterprises to use
-How safe are your passwords? I fun interactive thing with a password checker → perhaps linking to the password journal you mentoined?
-We could always use the Runic game again!? But again as a fun interactive thing
-Run a fun little thing like “Can you stump Digi Andy?” and have Andy answer digital questions to see if anyone can stump him? We could have a fun little tally on the side : number of times Social Enterprise has stumped Andy!
-How much could we have saved you!? A fun little menu of options with price tags on how much we can get digital services as compared to the competition?
-Digital bingo - how many of these do you do?
Some of the resources for this already exist so happy to help if you’d like me to put some stuff together!
Just checking in on this in case we had any more thoughts. I’m sure most of the day will be about sharing what we do with different groups so more important to be there and have a few bits and bobs out, but did people like any of the above ideas to move forward with any of them? Just wanted to pop into the queue for the content team if we needed anything made
I like all of those ideas
Thanks! I reckon we could probably re-run what we do for International Men’s Day to keep it simple as well but leave these on an ideas list. At the minute, International Men’s Day activities mean:
- 3D Puzzles
- Tablet Games
- Use of AI for drawing.
- Signposting to services as and when asked
Hopefully that keeps things simple!
